The World of Shorter-run Printing

PRINT WORLD: The World of Shorter-Run Printing is the biggest of its kind in North America, welcoming nearly 10,000 attendees and well over 275 exhibitors to the 2006 show.

With roots dating back to 1986, Print World has always kept a tight focus on printing technology and services for the shorter-run market.

The shorter-run market has grown, especially with the introduction of digital presses and wide-format printers. Now mid-size and larger printers are becoming key players in the short-run market. The 2006 show had attendance from 28 of the 30 largest Canadian companies, including Quebecor World, Transcontinental Printing and others.

Print World occupies over 125,000 square feet of exhibit space at the Direct Energy Centre. The Direct Energy Centre is downtown Toronto’s premier trade show facility and Canada’s largest and most advanced show building.

The 2006 show attracted visitors from all 10 Canadian provinces, 19 American states, and a number of international countries, including some from as far away as Finland, United Kingdom, Spain, India and New Zealand.

Exhibitors include the biggest brands on the international scene. Print World 2006 welcomed Adobe, Agfa, Brandtjen & Kluge, Buskro, Canon, Epson, GBC, Heidelberg, Hewlett- Packard, K-North, Komori, KBA, Kodak, Konica Minolta, MAN Roland, Ricoh, Van Son, Xeikon and Xerox among the over 275 exhibitors represented. From brand leaders to highly specialized manufacturers, all of these companies are brought together biennially to the centre of the world of shorter-run printing: PRINT WORLD.
