Canada's top printers to speak at Print World 2012
The Case Study Theatre: Printer Success Stories returns to Print World 2012, and three of Canada's most successful printers have been confirmed to date as speakers. All have survived and thrived at a time of rapid industry change.

Peter Cober, president of Cober Evolving Solutions in Kitchener, Ont.; Ward Griffin, CEO of Lowe-Martin Group in Ottawa; and Rich Pauptit, president of Flash Reproductions in Toronto, will bring their insights and wisdom to Print World attendees on Sunday, Nov. 18 during the show. (Check the Print World website closer to the show dates for confirmed times and more speakers.)

Cober, named Printer of the Year by Graphic Monthly Canada in 2011, heads one of Canada's most innovative and successful digital and sheetfed print operations that has also expanded into marketing and e-solutions. The firm was founded in 1916 by Vernon Cober and Peter is a member of the third generation to run the company. Cober Evolving Solutions is a 47,000 sq. ft. operation with an estimated $16.8 million in revenues (Graphic Monthly Gold List of Top 100 Printers).

Ward Griffin was in the news last April when his 320-employee company, founded in 1908, bought Dollco Integrated Print Solutions, a leading heatset web printer also based in Ottawa. The combined company is now a sheetfed, web and digital powerhouse with more than 500 employees and estimated annual revenues of approximately $98 million. It is a market leader in commercial and digital print print, direct mail, postage stamp production, warehousing, logistics and e-business solutions, with a reputation as an environmental leader.

Flash Reproductions, meanwhile, is a well-established commercial and screen printer that has recently expanded into digital printing. It has carved out an enviable market position serving the graphic design and agency markets in particular with high-end print solutions. The award-winning company employs 38 at its plant near Pearson International Airport, with approximate annual revenues of $7 million.

The Case Study Theatre, introduced at the last Print World, is your chance to hear how other printers have managed to grow their companies especially under fluid market conditions. Admittance to the Case Study Theatre is free with your show admission.
